Portraits of Hope Ministry

Where it Started

Portraits of Hope Ministry began in September 2015. It was during my own journey of dealing with my past hurts, habits and hang-ups. During this process, I discovered that many of those out on the streets were not much different then myself. The only difference was, I had already faced my vices and had begun the healing process, called recovery. Now every time I reach out to someone out on the streets, It is as though we are in a recovery session together.

I have aligned myself with a large variety of organizations, outreaches, businesses and mental health services to help those in need.

I am a Police Officer, a Photographer, a Police Chaplain and I have a passion to help those who have found themselves in a place of brokenness. Through these portraits and testimonies, my HOPE is to open peoples eyes and hearts as to how they view those who have found themselves in a place of brokenness. If we can open up peoples eyes and hearts just a little, then that is how we create change.

Lance Pearce of Portraits of Hope Ministry has teamed up with homeless advocate, Lang Martinez. Lang Martinez uses his testimony called Nobody Knows but Me, to help advocate for those who are dealing with homelessness, addiction, sexual abuse and trafficking.

Lance who is a cop and Lang who is an ex-con in recovery, have been brought together through their FAITH in Christ, to share a common vision that together they can make a difference. To give a voice to the voiceless, to give HOPE to those feeling hopeless, and to give guidance to those who are ready to take on the hard fight of recovery, to re-write their story.

To help those, who are ready to go from their Skid Row 2 Front Row.

This merchandise is made as a TRIBUTE to those who have overcome their Skid Row. A call for HOPE for those who are battling their Skid Row. And a call for PRAYER for those who have lost loved ones to their Skid Row.
